  • Progress In Learning Disabilities

    No one person says when I grow up I want a learning disability. Rather we grow up learning misconstrued teachings through churches, schools, law, political and other influences. When we develop throughout a lifetime our parents, teachers, peers, siblings, affect us mentally and emotionally. Other influences can affect us either negatively or positively.

    We are taught throughout our lifetime that is ok to lie, but hear the contradictions when we are punished for lying. Clearly, we can see that the breakdown in communication is part of the problem when it comes to learning disabilities.

    We must look at beliefs, ethnics, codes, emotions, teachings and many other topics to breakdown the walls of learning disabilities. Since, learning has so many elements to reach its limits, we can see that none of us has the ability to learn all there is to know. After carefully monitoring children with learning disabilities, I concluded that these children are special need souls that have been robbed of their right to their individuality.

    We can see then that beliefs play a large part in understanding learning disabilities. Beliefs are a state of mind where trust and confidence is stored and when that trust and confidence is violated, a problem is in the making. Finally, beliefs are our source of convictions that make us who we are.

    In this article, I am going to tell you a story about one person that stood firm on her beliefs, never relenting even when danger was involved. This woman single-handed strolled down the path of life fighting through the obstacles in her way. She was taught that silence was the only way a person could make it through life and when she went to school, she learned that if you are DIFFERENT then you are a target for persecution.

    Now, the young woman had the ability to match out with A's in classes, and remained consistent until she reached middle school and pressure from bullies stepped in, robbing her of her gift to learn. She finally left school and one of think this young woman was a failure. However when I finish this story, you will see learning disabilities, beliefs and how standing firm, coupled with consistent reading, relating to words, and researching can turn anyone into a outright genius.

    Now, this young woman was diagnosed properly with Multiple Personality Disorders (MPD, currently called Disassociate Identities) and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). You would think that this woman was hindered from learning since her symptoms including amnesia.

    What a nasty deck of cards she was dealt in the first place, but other symptoms of her diagnose proved the most valuable gift this woman had to offer. Her symptoms included collecting evidence to eliminate false beliefs, and searching high and low to find answers to questions ranging from A to Z.

    We see that this woman has an inner ability from a mechanism known as Multiple Personality Disorder that protected her throughout her entire life. Learning was difficult for this woman, since she had to struggle to find her identity and stay alert at the same time.

    In the classrooms, teachers observed her behaviors and notice that this child did not recognize any of her peer's existence; however, she became alert when the teacher addressed her. I am going to stop right here, to make a long story short this woman to date has become one of the most recognized women on the planet for her achievements and accomplishments, and has been recognized as one of the most creative individuals in the world.

    The woman has successfully published books while she continues her journey in life. After Integration, she learnt the details of life, starting at A to Z.

    This woman reads the dictionary to define each word separately. To date not one single person can approach her and go against her beliefs, since she has one of the most powerful tools offered and that is the ability to be taught and the gift to learn beyond the normal capacity.

    What an inspiring woman that was deemed mentally ill and said to have had a learning disability. If you see where I am coming from, you will see that learning disability is incorrectly defined at times.
